BEJEWELLED - A STYLED SHOOT

Hello beautiful readers,

Well this post has been a long time in the making and I do apologise for that but I would like to share with you the results of many months of planning, phone calls, emails and shopping trips. This mammoth shoot had a total of 29 collaborators so took a great amount of planning and time to pull off!

Joyce originally came to me with the idea of creating a multicultural shoot full of colour. Our main wish list included colourful bridal dresses, a light and airy venue and a number of models. We then very quickly discovered that getting the types of bridal dresses we were after was almost impossible in the time scale so went for other bursts of colour instead.

The next key part to organise was the venue. After weeks of searching and venue visits, we discovered Oaks Farm. It provided the perfect amount of light and space for our shots and the owners and staff were hospitable and friendly. Fabulous!

We hope you like the end result as much as we do!

So here goes…

We arrived at Oaks Farm nice and early and began by getting the models into hair and make up.The venue was perfect and there were so many spots for us to utilise. I hope I get to work on a wedding there soon; the pictures would just be divine! I can imagine the place buzzing with guests mingling within the beautiful gardens and being bathed in light during the ceremony in the orangery. The barn is a stunning setting for the wedding breakfast too. This venue really does have it all.

We were very privileged to be able to work with some fantastic suppliers, and had so many treats to take home afterwards!

Such beautiful shoes and flowers!

Our model, Mei was wearing the exquisite Belle by Belle and Bunty with a stunning rainbow bouquet by Love Bouquet. The simple design for the dress was such a flattering shape and would be perfect for a number of styles of wedding, perhaps more relaxed, or a beach wedding. And the bouquet… what can I say… it was just wonderful! So many colours and shapes; such an easy way to bring a burst of colour to your day and be able to keep it for generations! Her delicate feather hair piece was by Love the Burglar.

Katarina wore another piece by Love the Burglar, the divine Dolly Rocker by Kitty and Dulcie, a fun and flirty petticoat by Doris Designs and had a soft feather wrap by Wrappor. This was the only shorter dress and worked so well with the addition of the petticoat; Katarina was twirling for hours!

Isabelle wore Chamonix by Ian Stuart which was loaned to us by Bellisima Weddings; a classic styled dress with beautiful ruffled detailing in the skirt. Her head piece was also by Love the Burglar.

Sara wore Titania by Madeline Issac James, accessorised with a birdcage veil by Lily Bella. I adore the lace detail on Titania, and the fanned panel tail on the back. It is such an elegant shape.

Naz modelled Montana by Hollywood Dreams; also loaned to us by Belissima Weddings. She wore another beauty by Love the Burglar. Naz wore a Hollywood Dreams dress for her own wedding so was fully prepared for the size and weight of the dress. I think you’ll agree, it is quite high impact!

We were also able to showcase the stunning bridesmaid dresses by Maids to Measure.

We had beautifully designed stationery by Claire Spake and Love Wedding Print, as well as delicious cupcakes by the very talented Luci at Decadent Delights and a magnificent swirly creation by Elizabeth at Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium.

But my favourite images have to be of the girls all together…

So there you have it, our little pop of colour in the wedding world. I have so many favourite bits but I think the cakes and flowers really stood out for me. What about you?

Want to hear more about the stunning venue or find out where to get these gorgeous dresses? Get in touch!

I would love to hear your thoughts…

Lots of love,

Laura x
